The temporary exhibition gallery allows visitors an opportunity to view the museums collections, explore local history through exhibitions and activities and have access to touring art exhibitions, and also provides a venue for local artists and community groups to exhibit their own work.

An exhibition of photographs of the local area, selected from the Council's collection. Over 100 years of work, rest and play are represented in this wide-ranging exhibition. Images include work groups, football teams and pipe bands, reflecting the diversity of the Council's photographic collection. 'Old Monklands in Pictures' runs from 2 July to 11 September.
